Yes, she did.
The next day when she attended the alumni AGM, she was nominated and appointed as President. Ask me honestly, there is no wanting or not wanting of the position. I always remember my teacher's question to me whenever I am in such a meeting of position elections - "what would God do?"
Anyway, we had our first meeting with the newly appointed Exco and other members and it went amazing great. Most people were on time and there was much discussed. Meeting ended on the dot without much time wasting and everyone seemed willing and enthusiastic to get the whole society running.
The Advisor, Bee Lian who has been tirelessly serving the Exco is somewhat relief in a sense that for the first time she saw more people more interested in what is going on in the society. She has been breastfeeding the Exco for so long that she ends up doing most things; and she is not even a student of the school, but a parents of two ex-students. At least now she knows she is not alone, and I know, as a President that I am not alone as I trust that I have viable and supportive members to work together.
So, if you are an ex-Sri KLian, or know of anyone who is - PUHLEASE, come join us ok! It's fun leh!
